Professor. Rashid bin Hamad Al-Balushi delivered a paper introducing national human rights institutions, highlighting Oman Human Rights Commission, its mandates, and its framework of operations.\r\n\r\nHe also discussed the international conventions on human rights to which the Sultanate of Oman is a party, as well as the existing interaction between national committees and legislative councils.\r\n\r\nIn addition, lawyer Saud bin Saleh Al-Maawali, Vice Chairman of the Commission, presented a working paper on the draft National Human Rights Strategy and its practical steps.\r\n\r\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/ohrc.om\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Screenshot_20250114_103407-300x216.jpg\")
