This came during an official visit by a delegation from the Oman Human Rights Commission (OHRC) to the United States of America, where they met with key officials responsible for human rights files in the US State Department and the House of Representatives, alongside representatives from various research centers and American civil society organizations.<\/strong>\r\n\r\n<strong>As a centerpiece of the visit, a specialized human rights event was hosted at the Sultan Qaboos Cultural Centre (SQCC) in Washington D.C., aimed at introducing international partners to the legal framework, field responsibilities, and operational mechanisms of the OHRC. The event was attended by Oman\u2019s Ambassador to the USA, Moosa Hamdan Al Ta\u2019ei, and brought together more than 70 prominent politicians, diplomats, and human rights activists. During the gathering, an introductory documentary was presented highlighting the OHRC&#8217;s ongoing programs, legal awareness campaigns, and extensive field inspection visits.<\/strong>\r\n\r\n<strong>The Omani delegation, headed by the Chairman of the OHRC, held critical bilateral meetings with senior US officials, including Cindy Dyer, Head of the US State Department&#8217;s Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons, and Scott Turner, Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Bureau of Population, Migration, and Refugees.<\/strong>\r\n\r\n<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\r\n\r\n<strong>The discussions focused primarily on the annual reports issued by the US Department of State concerning human rights and freedoms worldwide.
