A team from the Oman Human Rights Commission visited the Juvenile Affairs Department of Al Khuwair of the Ministry of Social Development with a view to reviewing the services that the department provides to juveniles in health, psychological, social and educational aspects. The visit also aimed at reviewing the procedures followed when receiving the juvenile and the daily program of juveniles.
During the visit, the team met with the director of the department and the staff, who welcomed the Commission’s team and gave them an overview about the administrative divisions of the house. Then the team made a field tour of the house, during which it became acquainted with the facilities in the classrooms, and the library. The team also viewed the technical devices used to help residents in the house to modern programs, in addition to the gym and the plastic arts room.
