A team of representatives of the Sultanate of Oman to the Arab Parliament for the Child visited the OHRC. During the visit, the team was introduced to the work, functions and responsibilities of the Commission. They also examined the mechanisms used for monitoring and receiving reports, the awareness programmes implemented by the Commission in the field of children’s rights, in addition to the OHRC role in cooperation and communication with regional and international human rights organizations.
Thereafter, Sheikh/ Abdullah bin Shuwain Al-Hosani, Chairman of the OHRC, and in the attendance of Mr. Saeed bin Salim Al-Nu ‘mani, the OHRC Secretary-General, greeted the visiting team and congratulated them on obtaining the first place in the Arab Parliament Competition for Children, the matter that contributes in upholding the reputation of Oman in regional and international forums, especially in the field of children’s talents and rights.
