The Ministry of Foreign Affairs’s response to the letter sent by National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) last June regarding the case of Muawiya Al Rawahi stated that the Embassy of Oman in Abu Dhabi is following up the case and that Muawiya is being treated well. The response letter also mentioned that the investigations has ended and Mr. Al Rawahi admitted to inciting hatred and insulting the symbols of the United Arab of Emirates. Moreover, the Emirati authorities refused the request of NHRC to visit Muawiya noting that the visit is restricted to his first-degree relatives and Omani Embassy representatives in Abu Dhabi.
