OHRC holds its first meeting for its second annual session

OHRC held its first meeting for the second annual session of the fourth term, under the chairmanship of Sheikh Abdullah Bin Shuwain Al Hosni, OHRC Chairman. The meeting reviewed a number of topics, including the child rights awareness program, the program of internal visits to some institutions concerned with providing humanitarian services in the Sultanate, OHRC’s responses to international reports related to human rights in the Sultanate and the ongoing preparations to submit the shadow report in the current year’s UPR, which will be submitted at the United Nations Human Rights Council. The meeting also discussed the proposals received from the special subcommittees at OHRC, and other issues related to human rights.
