OHRC held its second meeting for the second annual session of the fourth term, under the chairmanship of Sheikh Abdullah bin Shuwain Al Hosni, OHRC Chairman, in the presence of all OHRC members, and Dr. Secretary-General.
The meeting reviewed several topics, including OHRC’s responses to international reports related to human rights in the Sultanate, and participation in regional and international meetings and conferences that took place via video conferences.
The meeting also reviewed the most prominent humanitarian issues that OHRC dealt with during the current year, and the mechanism for preparing OHRC’s annual report for 2020.
The meeting discussed how OHRC would participate in marking the International Human Rights Day, which falls on 10 December every year. The meeting also discussed upcoming participation in meetings, conferences on human rights, proposals received from special sub-committees at OHRC, and other topics related to human rights in the Sultanate.
