Oman Human Rights Commission participated in the 2024 Summer Program for School Students (“Summer of Ambition and Values”) organized by the Ministry of Education, delivering awareness lectures and workshops on the Commission’s role in protecting and promoting children’s rights.
The Commission held its summer activities in 13 centers across various governorates of the Sultanate of Oman, reaching 700 targeted students. Approximately 1,500 brochures and awareness-raising publications were distributed, and visual versions produced by the Oman Human Rights Commission were shown to sensitize participating students on a number of issues and topics related to children’s rights.
The participation of Oman Human Rights Commission in promoting human rights awareness and raising awareness among the segment of children participating in these centers is part of the Committee’s implementation of its terms of reference contained in Article 11 of the Commission’s Regulations promulgated by Royal Decree No. 57/2022.
