A team of the OHRC encompassing a set of OHRC members and employees visited Al Khoud Royal Oman Police detention center; this comes in the context of the Commission’ competencies and responsibilities to monitor the humanitarian condition of the detainees and the services provided to them under the relevant applicable laws.
Officers of the Center received the members of the Commission’ team, who were welcomed and introduced to the services provided to the detainees. The officers also toured the building and its various section with the visitors.
The OHRC would like to extend it gratitude and appreciation to the Royal Oman Police for their continuous cooperation and facilitation of the OHRC tasks with regard to the detainees’ humanitarian conditions as per the national and international laws in this regard.
