The Honorable Sheikh/ Abdullah bin Shuwain Al Hosni, Chairman of the Omani Human Rights Commission (OHRC), met in his office with H.E. Mr. Perry Calderwood, Chargé d ‘affaires of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Canada to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, during H.E. course of visit in the Sultanate of Oman.
During the meeting, a brief was presented on the Commission, its functions, competencies and mechanism for monitoring and receiving reports and following up on international reports on Human Rights. A number of topics related to Human Rights were also addressed.
The meeting was attended by Dr./ Ali bin Abdullah Al-Kalabani, Secretary General of the Commission, Ms/ Shaza bint Abdul Majeed Al-Zadjali, Director of the Department of International Organizations and Relations, and Mr. Nasser bin Mohammed Al-Kindi, international organizations specialist.
