During the visit, the delegation discussed various issues concerning people with disabilities with the hospital administration, including the health services provided to them and ways to enhance healthcare related to them.
The hospital administration highlighted its efforts in providing extensive services to people with disabilities and its ongoing commitment to enhancing the capabilities of hospital staff to cater to the needs of this vulnerable group.
Currently, early screening of newborns is conducted for early intervention in the event of any disabilities or chronic diseases.
During the visit, the OHRC delegation was acquainted with the hospital’s sections, specialized national centers, hospital’s departments, emergency services for urgent interventions, and the number of outpatients.
Furthermore, the OHRC delegation also received a detailed explanation about the hospital’s exact specialties, the number of inpatients, performed surgeries, essential medical procedures, and the procedures in place to ensure citizens have and enjoy the right to health.
