The Oman Human Rights Commission, chaired by Professor Dr. Rashid bin Hamad Al-Balushi, President of the Commission, held its second Meeting of the third annual session of the fifth term for the year 2026.
During the Meeting, members discussed the latest developments concerning the issuance of Royal Decree No. 47/2026 on the reorganization of the Oman Human Rights Commission, in addition to updates related to the National Human Rights Strategy, as well as the quarterly report on the Commission’s activities and events.
The Meeting also addressed a number of topics and proposals aimed at strengthening and protecting human rights in the Sultanate of Oman.
