A delegation of the Oman Human Rights Commission participated in the annual meeting of the Asia Pacific Forum and the conference against hate and discrimination in the South Korean capital, Seoul.
The conference hosted a number of international organizations including the specialized agencies of the United Nations, the Commission on the Status of Women, the Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions and its working groups such as people with disabilities, human rights and business, the elderly, and the SDG team, in addition to some representatives Civil society organizations and experts.
The meeting reviewed the role of the financial and administrative forum during the past year and discussed the most important issues and challenges facing national human rights institutions in the continent. During the meeting, the Oman Human Rights Commission gave a presentation on its work in areas related to human rights.
The Commission was represented by a delegation headed by His Excellency Khalid bin Yahya Al- Farie member of the Commission, Dr. Hilal bin Saeed Al-Shaidhani, member of the Commission, Eng. Hamoud bin Salem Al-Sunaidi, member of the Commission, and Al-Nadhir Nasser bin Mohammed Al-Kindi, specialist of international organizations.
