Honorable Sheikh Abdullah bin Shuwain Al Hosni, Chairman of the Oman Human Rights Commission, met His Excellency Ambassador Jassim Mubarak Al Mubaraki, Chairman of the National Office for Human Rights in the sisterly State of Kuwait, at the Commission’s headquarters. At the beginning of the meeting, the Chairman of the Commission welcomed the ambassador and his accompanying delegation, and presented them with a briefing on the Commission, its goals, responsibilities assigned to it and its role in areas related to human rights. He also briefed the delegation on the Commission’s relations with regional and international human rights organizations and Commissions.
For his part, the head of the National Office for Human Rights in the sisterly state of Kuwait expressed his pleasure to visit the Sultanate to review the experience of the Oman Human Rights Commission. He also expressed his appreciation to the Commission and its efforts in the field of human rights and affirmed that he is looking forward for more cooperation and coordination between the two sides.
After that, there has been a video on Commission’s march during the past years, the mechanism for monitoring and receiving communications, and awareness-raising and human rights education programs as well as the Commission’s members, and personnel.
