A team from the OHRC took part in the training program related to receiving and following up on complaints, visiting the detention centers, and preparing monitoring reports organized by the Arab Network for the National Human Rights Institutions (ANNHRI) in cooperation with the National Human Rights Commission in Lebanon, and the UN Training and Documentation Center for South West Asia and Arab Region in the Lebanese Capital Beirut.
The program aimed to sharpen the skills of those working in the field of human rights by exchanging experiences and the best practices among the participants from the member institutions of the ANNHRI in addition to strengthening the knowledge of the role of the national human rights institutions.
The training program covered several axes including monitoring, visiting detention centers, receiving and following up on complaints, preparing reports and enhancing field work to protect and promote human rights, in addition to the effective implementation of the international human rights standards at the national level.
In this training program, the OHRC was represented by Sultan bin Ali Al-Memari, Head of Laws and Legislation Department, and Laila bint Helal Al-Barwania specialist of Complaints Monitoring and Receiving at the OHRC.
