Oman Human Rights Commission held its second meeting for the first annual session of the fourth period under the chairmanship of Honorable Sheikh Abdullah bin Shuwain Al Hosni, Chairman of the Commission, in the presence of OHRC members and Secretary General.
The meeting discussed the Commission’s responses to international reports on human rights in the Sultanate. It also discussed awareness-raising and educational programs that the Commission intends to implement during the current year on issues related to human rights. The meeting also included adopting a schedule of field visits to some local institutions that render care for different groups of society, in addition to civil society institutions.
The Commission reviewed its sub-Commissions and approved their formation from among members of the Commission. The sub committees are the Monitoring and Reporting Committee, the Legal Committee and International Relations and Organizations Committee.
