The forum aimed to raise awareness among participants about international human rights conventions and mechanisms to combat racism, racial discrimination, and xenophobia, and to clarify the role of governments and stakeholders in addressing these issues through the development of laws, policies, and strategies and taking necessary actions. It also sought to enhance the capacities of participants in protecting the rights of victims of racism and discrimination, and to share experiences, best practices, and challenges in combating racism and discrimination in the region.

The Commission was represented by Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Saadi, member of the Commission, and Saeed bin Saleh Al-Abri, Director of Communication and Media at Oman Human Rights Commission.
