Oman Human Rights Commission Launches Training of Trainers Program on Developing and Implementing Human Rights Indicators
Oman Human Rights Commission, in collaboration with the United Nations Training and Documentation Center for Human Rights for South-West Asia and the Arab Region, launched a Training of Trainers Program focused on developing and implementing human rights indicators. Participants included various governmental agencies and civil society organizations.
 
The four-day program covered the methodology of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) in human rights training, focusing on delivering training sessions and activities related to implementing human rights indicators through the design and organization of training, presentations, interactive techniques, and evaluation methods. It also discussed assessing training needs, evaluating the impact of training, adult learning theories, and handling difficult audiences. The program aims to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary for developing and implementing human rights indicators, using practical examples and exercises related to indicators.
