National Committee to Combat Human Trafficking Conducts a Workshop for the staff of Oman Human Rights Commission
The National Committee to Combat Human Trafficking organized a two-day workshop for the staff of Oman Human Rights Commission, aiming to enhance awareness of anti-trafficking mechanisms and foster joint efforts between the two entities.
 
The Workshop Included a comprehensive presentation on the Committee’s mandate, its role in overseeing the implementation of national anti-trafficking policies, and its efforts to coordinate with relevant authorities to strengthen victim protection systems and hold perpetrators accountable.
 
Additionally, the Workshop highlighted the role of Oman Royal Police in combating such crimes through the apprehension of offenders, investigations, and ensuring their prosecution, as well as identifying victims and providing them with necessary support.
 
Social Protection Home, under the Ministry of Social Development, also presented its services for trafficking victims, including safe shelter, psychological and social support, and rehabilitation.
 
The Workshop emphasized the importance of collaboration among various entities, including Oman Human Rights Commission, to raise societal awareness of the dangers of human trafficking and ensure social justice, aligning with national and international commitments to protecting human rights.
