A delegation from Oman Human Rights Commission participated in the Asia Pacific Forum Annual Meeting and Anti Hatred and Discrimination Conference held in the Souther Korean Capital Souel.
The Conference hosted a number of international organizations including some UN specialized agencies, Women Conditions Committee, Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions and the working teams attached to the Alliance such as people with disability, human rights, business activities, elderly people, sustainable development goals teams in addition to a number of civil society organizations representatives and experts.
The meeting discussed the financial and administrative role of the Forum during last year as well as the key challenges and issues facing national human rights institutions in the Continent. OHRC delivered a presentation about the Commission activities related to human rights.
OHRC was represented in the meeting by His Excellency Khalid bin Yahya Al Farei, OHRC Member, Dr. Hilal bin Said Al Shidhani, OHRC Member, Eng. Humoud bin Salim Al Sunaidi, OHRC Member and Nasser bin Mohammed Al Kindi Specialist International Organizations at OHRC.
