Oman Human Rights Commission Visits Child Miral
In support of the continuous efforts of the concerned authorities, a team from the Oman Human Rights Commission visited the child Miral Ahmad Al Balushi to check on her health. During the visit, the Commission team met with the child’s father to boost his morale and support him until his daughter’s recovery. During the last period, the Commission has followed up the efforts of the Ministry of Health on the case of the child/ Miral and her health condition and her family request to send her for treatment abroad due to her urgent need for lung transplantation, an operation that could not be carried out in the Sultanate. In this context, the Commission continues to coordinate and follow up with the relevant authorities, and among them are Diwan of Royal Court and the Ministry of Health in an attempt to find any remedial means that contribute to the girl’s recovery, whenever possible. OHRC calls the Almighty God to bless the child/ Miral and others like her a speedy recovery and expresses its sincere appreciation for all efforts and care provided to the girl by the concerned authorities.
