The honorable Mohammed Abdullah Al Riyami, chairman of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), received a delegation from Iran presided by his Excellency Qadhi Siraj, chairman of the Iranian Supervisory, at the Commission’s office.
During the meeting, NHRC representatives explained the roles and jurisdiction of the Commission, and the activities and programs undertaken to disseminate the culture of human rights in the Omani society. The meeting also included discussing the aspects of mutual cooperation in relation to human rights training and qualification.
On the other hand, the Iranian delegation expressed their appreciation for the warm welcome in Oman and invited NHRC to visit the Iranian human rights committee to strengthen mutual cooperation in relation to human rights.
