OHRC participated in the 25th annual meeting of the Asia Pacific Forum conducted via video conferencing on September 9, 2020, with the participation of forum members, representatives of civil society, the Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions, and international human rights experts.
Participants discussed how human rights bodies were dealing with challenges brought upon by the COVID-19 pandemic. Elections to the Governance Committee were held and a representative of the Forum was chosen for the Office of the Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions.
