NHRC Issues various Human Rights Publications
National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) issued number of human rights publications such as the 14th and 15th issue of “Latest News”, a periodical issued every 3 months to explore the main national and International events, meetings, and participations of NHRC. Another publication is the 4th issue of “My Childhood, My Rights”, a booklet that aims to develop children’s human rights culture; and in the latest issue, the Right to Education was discussed thoroughly. Moreover, the 5th annual report is one of the latest publications that explored the complaints received by the Commission, the national and international activities undertaken, and the legal developments in relation to human rights. In addition, NHRC published a book on the level of human rights awareness of social studies teachers in the second cycle schools of basic education in the Sultanate. It is a study adopted by the Commission to confirm its role in disseminating the culture of human rights and encourage researchers to conduct more studies in the field of human rights and societies. Another study was also published by NHRC entitled “Human rights in the Omani Laws”. It is a detailed study about the civil and political rights in the Omani law and one of the winners of human rights research competition conducted by the Commission.
