OHRC takes part in the Third Regional Training Course

The OHRC took part in the Third Regional Training Course “Amin Makki Madani Course” under the title Concepts and Mechanisms of Human Rights organized by the Geneva Institute for Human Rights in cooperation with the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights in Sudan which was held remotely via the Internet. The Training Program aimed to spread the culture of human rights and promote the participation of non-governmental organizations and national institutions concerned with human rights as well as enabling them to positively participate and concentrate on their work at the level of interacting with the mechanisms of human rights protection in particular. During the Training Course, the Director of Monitoring and Complaints Receiving, Mr. Ahmed bin Nasser Al-Rashdi presented a worksheet on the basic conventions concerned with human rights. The representative of the Commission was approved as a basic trainer within the training staff of the Geneva Institute for Human Rights. The Training Program was prepared interactively to supply the participants with scientific knowledge of the United Nations Conventions in the field of human rights, the protocols attached to them, and the mechanism of submitting individual claims in addition to illustrating the national, regional and international mechanisms concerned with human rights. The Third Regional Training Course was a continuation of the series of annual training courses for reinforcing training in the field of human rights and for reaching all segments of society as well as spreading awareness on the culture of human rights and fundamental freedoms.
