The OHRC held its third meeting of the Fourth Annual Session for the fourth Term under the chairmanship of the Honorable Sheikh /Abdullah bin Shuwain al Hosni, the Chairman of the OHRC and in the presence of all the members of the Commission and its Secretary General.
During the meeting, the draft of the strategic action plan of the OHRC to be implemented over the next year and the steps taken by the committee assigned to prepare the new conception of the Commission’s internal regulation that regulates its work system till the present time were reviewed. Furthermore, the draft of the annual report that is going to be published at the beginning of the next year was reviewed. The details of celebrating International Human Rights Day, which falls on the tenth of December every year and which is to be held on Monday the twelfth of next December was also reviewed.
The meeting discussed the awareness and education programs in the field of human rights carried out by the OHRC during this year and which are to be continued over the upcoming period, in addition to the field visits made by the OHRC to follow up on the communications that were received or monitored by the OHRC. Moreover, a group of proposals and topics related to the work of the OHRC over the next period were discussed.
