The Honorable Sheikh Abdullah bin Shuwain Al-Hosni Chairman of the OHRC met HE Walid Iqbal, the chairman of the Permanent Human Rights Committee at the Senate of Pakistan.
During the meeting, the OHRC, its works and activities, and its relation with the international committees and organizations were introduced, in addition to its role in monitoring and receiving complaints in the Sultanate of Oman.
Moreover, the two sides discussed mutual cooperation frameworks and ways of developing them to serve human rights issues.
Amir Hamza, the Chancellor of Pakistan Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman, and the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Pakistani schools represented the Pakistani Side in the meeting, and the OHRC was represented by Shatha bint Abdul Majeed Al-Zadjali, Director of Organizations and International Relations Department and Eman bint Khalid Al-Saidia, charged with heading the Organizations Section.
