“The “OHRC” Committee participates as an Observer in the 51st Session of Arab permanent Committee on Human Rights”
The OHRC took part in the 51st session of the Arab Permanent Committee on Human Rights, held at Al Sokhairat in the Kingdom of Morocco, with the participation of the governmental bodies of Member States, national human rights institutions and civil society organizations. During the session, a range of topics related to human rights were discussed, including the promotion of cultural diversity, the protection and preservation of family, the impact of climatic shifts on human rights as well as the activation of the Arab Plan for Human Rights Education. The Arab Permanent Committee for Human Rights aims to enhance and fortify the Arab human rights system, establish communication links with regional and international governmental organizations, national institutions, and Arab civil society groups operating in the sphere of human rights. The Committee was represented by a delegation headed by Mr. Mohammed bin Ahmed Al-Rawahi, member of the Committee, and had the membership of Hassan bin Ahmed Al-Ajmi and Khalid bin Jaber Al-Shukaili ,employees of OHRC.
