A team from Oman Human Rights commission (OHRC) took part in the annual program on accreditation with the Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions, organized by the Asia Pacific Forum in cooperation with the National Human Rights Institution of the Kingdom of Thailand.
The program aimed to increase awareness of the procedures of the GANHRI Sub-Committee, enhance participants’ confidence and preparedness, improve outcomes among Forum members, share knowledge and experiences among Forum member NHRIs, as well as provide support and guidance to National Committees.
The program included an introductory online training course, through which participants received comprehensive information on accreditation procedures. The course was followed by a workshop in the Thai capital, Bangkok, to exchange experiences and knowledge in addition to receiving a practical training that included a case study and discussion in the light of each stage as well as a practical simulation.
The Commission was represented in the program by Shatha bint Abdul Majeed Al Zadjali, Director of the Organizations and International Relations, Iman bint Khalid Al-Saeediya, Head of the International Relations Department and Laila bint Abdullah Al-Barwaniya from the Monitoring and Receiving Communications Department of “OHRC”.
