The delegation of the UAE’s National Human Rights Institution visits the Sultanate of Oman
Headed by Maqsoud Kruse, Chairperson of the NHRIA, a delegation from the National Human Rights Institution (NHRI), is cuurently visiting the Sultanate of Oman. On this visit, the delegation visited the OHRC headquarters and was received by Sheikh Abdullah bin Shuwain Al Hosni, Chairman of the Oman Human Rights Commission, who welcomed the members of the delegation and emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation and coordination between both sides to serve human rights. On his part, His Excellency Maqsoud Kruse, the Chairman of the National Human Rights Authority in the United Arab Emirates, expressed his gratitude to the members of the UAE delegation and emphasized the constant commitment to enhance cooperation and communication between both sides for the benefit of human rights. Afterwards, the Omani Human Rights Commission provided the delegation with a comprehensive explanation about its establishment, work mechanisms, goals, mandates, and its local, regional, and international efforts in promoting human rights. Then, a discussion was opened, and opinions were exchanged between both sides to enhance joint work, share experiences, and benefit from the experiences of the two institutions to reach broader horizons in serving human rights.
