Honorable Sheikh Abdullah bin Shuwain Al Hosni, Chairman of the Oman Human Rights Commission, received Her Excellency Ruwaida Al Hajj, Regional Representative of the United Nations Office for Human Rights for the Middle East and North Africa.
At the beginning of the meeting, Honorable Sheikh, Chairman of the Commission, welcomed Her Excellency the United Nations Regional Representative to the Sultanate and congratulated her on her new position, wishing her success in her work.
The meeting reviewed part of the cooperation between the Commission and the United Nations Regional Office for the Middle East and North Africa, which included the establishment of joint training programs between the two sides in areas related to human rights during the last period. For her part, Al-Hajj expressed her happiness with visiting the Oman Human Rights Commission. She expressed the readiness of the United Nations Office for Human Rights for the Middle East and North Africa region to cooperate and coordinate with the Commission, especially in the areas of training and rehabilitation, and to establish joint programs in areas related to human rights.
