The Oman Human Rights Commission holds its last meeting for the third annual session

The Oman Human Rights Commission held its last meeting for the third annual session of the third year under the chairmanship of Honorable Sheikh Abdullah bin Shuwain Al Hosni, Chairman of the Commission, in the presence of all its members, and Dr. Obaid bin Saeed Al-Shaqsi, Secretary-General of the Commission. At the beginning of the meeting, Honorable Sheikh, the Chairman of the Commission, conveyed the greetings and appreciation of His Excellency Dr. Yahya bin Mahfouz Al Manthari, Chairman of the State Council  to the members of the Commission and its Secretary-General for the efforts they made during the third period of the Commission’s work, and their contribution to enable the Commission to carry out its required duties. Afterwards, the Chairman of the Commission reviewed the items on the agenda of the meeting including the awareness and education programs that the Commission intends to implement during the current year. The meeting reviewed the report on visiting the central prison in the Wilayat of Samail, reports of the internal and external Commission’s participation, and the Commission’s preparations for a seminar on human trafficking in cooperation and coordination with the National Commission to Combat Human Trafficking, 1-2 April 2020.
