Oman Human Rights Commission Organizes an Informative Workshop for its Members
The Oman Human Rights Commission organized an informative workshop for its new members about its tasks, terms of references and the work of its different departments and offices during which various aspects related to the facets of the OHRC’s work were reviewed and discussed.
 
At the beginning of the meeting, the OHRC Chairman Professor Dr. / Rashid Hamad Al Balushi reviewed Royal Decree No. (57/2022) on the reorganization of the OHRC, in addition to projects to be implemented in the coming period. After that, a number of directors of departments displayed visual presentations about the work aspects of the OHRC including the legal facets of the OHRC’s work and internal regulation.
 
Furthermore, the OHRC’s terms of reference and role in Oman Vision 2040 were explained in addition to explaining the mechanism adopted in monitoring and receiving complaints, protecting and enhancing human rights, the international and regional mechanisms with which the OHRC deals as well as its efforts in the field of raising awareness, educating and media.
