Oman Human Rights Commission in cooperation and coordination with the International Schools Office affiliated with the Ministry of Education implements an awareness educational program for the students of international schools in the Sultanate of Oman. The awareness program aims to give information about children’s rights, principles related to human rights, and rights of the most vulnerable groups in addition to reviewing the basic rights of children. Moreover, through this program, the OHRC explains methods and steps that should be used by children to protect themselves when they experience any kind of abuse or negligence and introduces them to the national authorities concerned with children’s rights protection. In addition, a group of awareness films is displayed and awareness publications are distributed to the group of children explaining duties and rights and means of communication with the different authorities concerned with the protection and promotion of children’s rights in the Sultanate of Oman.
