Chaired by Professor Rashid bin Hamad Al-Balushi, Chairman of the Commission, with the attendance of committee members and the Secretary of the Technical Secretariat.
During the meeting, the members reviewed the implementation of decisions from the previous meeting and discussed a proposal by the Commission regarding the introduction of a course on “Business and Human Rights” at Sultan Qaboos University. They also addressed updates from the team responsible for preparing the National Human Rights Strategy and reviewed the outcomes of a dialogue session discussing the findings of the Commission’s research on the realities, challenges, and aspirations of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder in Oman.
Additionally, the meeting included a review of the Commission’s participation report in the 26th session of the Committee tasked with discussing Oman’s initial report submitted to the Arab Charter on Human Rights Committee. The launch date for the “Values and Belonging” program, organized by Oman Human Rights Commission in partnership with various state administrative units and the Children First Association, was also confirmed.
