The Commission Conducts an Awareness Program as Part of Its Participation in the Summer Program for School Students in Al Buraimi Governorate

As part of its participation in the Summer Program for School Students, organized by the Ministry of Education under the slogan “My Summer: Learning and Innovation,” the Oman Human Rights Commission conducted a training program in Al Buraimi Governorate entitled “The Role of the Oman Human Rights Commission in the Promotion and Protection of Children’s Rights.” The Program was delivered at Al Farooq Summer Center for Boys and Hafsa bint Sireen Summer Center for Girls, as part of the Commission’s ongoing efforts to promote a culture of human rights and enhance awareness of children’s rights among different age groups.

The Program included a range of training and interactive activities inspired by the Guide to Best Practices and Experiences in Human Rights Education in Schools for Different Age Groups in the Arab Region, which the Commission contributed to developing in cooperation with the Arab Network for National Human Rights Institutions and the United Nations Centre for Training and Documentation.

The Program aimed to introduce participating students to children’s rights through simplified and interactive approaches, including classroom activities that foster the values of participation, respect, and responsibility, while also highlighting the Commission’s role in protecting human rights, particularly those related to children.
